Have a question? Check out the list below, and if that doesn't help, shoot me an email.
I didn't get my password when I registered! HELP!
- One of two things happened; either you entered your email address wrong, or the site glitched. Either way, email me at the address below with your username and email address, and I will reset your password for you. Remember to change your password immediately.
Someone flamed me! HELP!
- If you think someone has flamed or trolled you in a review on this site, email me with a link to the offending review. I'll look into it, and if it is a flame (not constructive criticism), I will delete it and warn the flamer. Only one warning will be given for flames; after that, the flamer will find her account deleted. If the review is not a flame and is instead constructive criticism, please don't whine to me. Con-crit is a helpful thing for ALL writers, and if you post your fiction publicly on the internet, you're inviting opinions of all kinds.
How can I mark my story as complete?
- After you've logged in, go to Your Account and click Edit/Delete Stories. Your stories are listed with the text Completed: No after the chapter title. Click the No link, and it will refresh with Completed: Yes after the title. Voila!
My story only has one chapter. Why do I have to enter a chapter title?
- It's an eFiction thing. What I do is enter 1/1 in the chapter title to let readers know there's only one chapter.
Why does my profile ask for my real name? Do I have to give it?
- Again, it's an eFiction thing. I suppose it's there in case someone uses a different screen name than the name they write under. You are under no obligation to give your real name, and in fact, I'd recommend that you don't use your real name on this site or on any fanfic archive.
I've found a story that's plagiarised. What should I do?
- Don't release the hounds just yet. If you think a story contains material that has been lifted from someone else's work without credit/permission, email me the link to the offending story, the original story, and include contact information for the author. I will look into it, and if the story in question HAS been plagiarised, it will be removed immediately and the author banned from this site. THEN you can release the hounds. Plagiarism is a very serious accusation, and it is better to remove all doubt from the situation before making it public.
If your question wasn't answered, please sent it to gypsy.eiluned (AT) gmail (DOT) com.
